We did a couple things in the basement this year. We painted the annual wall like we always to do match the official tshirts. I had to paint it twice because the first gray I picked looked like tan to me but the second color was much better. We also painted the cloudy wall a nice blue color. Then we were feeling ambitious and decided to paint our new DC logo on the ceiling!

Today we tried to play two trivia contests simultaneously. Trivia Turmoil was from noon-10pm and the Medford contest was from 6pm-midnight. It was a little confusing because Turmoil is a one-call, two-song contest and Medford is a call as many times as you want, one-song contest. We did a good job at calling in the correct answer to the correct place which I thought we'd have problems with. Turmoil was a lot of fun while Medford was pretty ridiculous. They had a bunch of questions that were either local or just impossible. Adam had the flu during the contests so he didn't play at all. Lily was a little crazy at the beginning but she got really quiet when Wiza came over to visit and tried to say hello to her. She fell on the floor crying and then decided to just quietly watch a movie in the library.

Today we went to two egg hunts. The first was supposed to be at Piffner park but it had to be moved to the Shopko parking lot because of all the snow still in the park. Lily got a bunch of eggs full of jellybeans there. Next we went to the egg hunt at Celebration Church. This egg hunt is more fun I think because there is less people and the eggs are actually filled with good stuff. Kids have a limit to how many eggs they can get which is okay because at the Shopko one I saw many little kids with bagloads of eggs and then other kids with like two.

Vanessa had her birthday party at Eric & Heather's place this year. A bunch of people where there and we played some board games (SceneIt, Would You Rather, etc) and drank. Aaron & Vanessa also both had to go on scavenger hunts for their birthday presents. It was fun hanging out with everyone that came to the party. After a while Vanessa & Lily both fell asleep on the couch (see photo below) but the party continued. Adam, Lily and I didn't leave until like 6am!

The kids started playing the snow and then it turned into a family snowball fight. Snowballs were flying everywhere including at me while I was trying to take photos. After the fight they decided to build a mini snowman. It was a bunch of crazy March snowy fun.

This weekend was really fun. The kids baked monster cookies with Becky which were REALLY good and had a lot of fun just hanging out and playing.
