Trailer & notes - check

Well, it's 3:38am now and I just officially finished typing all my notes. This includes all the tv shows and movies I have done. I'm so up to date it's crazy. I have a few more shows between now and trivia it just depends on if I have time to do them. The oz probably has every question written already at this point. I do have a bunch of cartoons recorded I could do woohoo.
Today we got our Trivia float trailer in Loyal, WI. First we stopped at Adam's parents because his dad is the one with a truck. It's about a 1/2 hour from Stratford to Loyal and when we finally found the place the guy who owns the trailer wasn't home (I talked to him earlier in the week and he said he'd be there) Oh well, so we took the trailer anyways and left a note) Then it's about 1 1/2 hours from Loyal back to plover so that sucked. Lily wasn't too thrilled about being strapped into her car seat for that long. Once we all got back home we had dinner at Applebees and then Adam, Lily and I napped until 9:30pm. Adam and Lily went back to sleep at 11:30 and I've been typing notes ince then. Yikes.
On that note - Goodnight!

Trivia in the mix, yo!

Well, Gwyn & I did the side panels for the float today...they look really good, now we just need a concrete float idea. Sounds like a few people like the dressing-up-like-oz idea...I just don't know how many people would actually do it and would we do makeup or masks... The float participants are really anti-makeup so hrm.
I took a nice nap tonight from 7:30pm-10:00pm. It's good thought because then we came to our actual house (been basically living at the parents cuz of trivia prep) so I could clean... another inspection coming up next Wednesday and I have to do some scrub-a-dubbing. It's good though because it's not very messy since we haven't really been 'living' here ;)
Since my brother isn't coming this weekend to setup the basemental network it looks like the weekend is free to be filled with trivia-related preparations. The only thing I really have planned all weekend is picking up the trailer in Loyal...long road trips - bah.

Road to Chairdom

Well, since my mom got done with work early today we decided to go shopping. First we went to Kohl's and Wal*Mart in town. Then after we unloaded the car I convinced my parents to take me to Wausau so I could go to OfficeMax to buy a new computer chair that they had on sale for $49 this week. So, we drive all the way from Plover to Wausau and of course they are out of stock. GRR. So, then I have them call the Marshfield store and put one on hold for me there. So, yeah then we were off from Wausau to Marshfield to get my chair. Got the chair and then we indulged in some Taco Johns. MMM. Then we had to drive from Marshfield to Plover. So, my short trip to Wausau for a chair ended up being over a 4 hour long trip.
But, now I have a nice chair so I won't have springs going into my butt...which will be nice. Now, to set up my keyboard in the new keyboard drawer thing I got so everything will be nice and ergonomic.

Trivia's getting MY motor running

Well, posting has been quite sparce for me lately because I've been doing all things trivia. I have been working on trying to type all my movie notes which i'm down to one final notebook to go. All this typing on my laptop has seemed to made me more profient on a normal keyboard and not as good on the ergonomic kind I have on my PC...I think I'm going to have to change back for Trivia at least.
We've been spending most of our time at my parents house which is good because we aren't messing up our house and we have an inspection coming up next Wednesday. Our computers are in the trivia basement so of course that's were we are all the time. It's nice seeing my parents so often and Lily is getting quite addicted to her Grandma and Grandpa.
Trivia prep this year has been going well. Overall basementally, everyone has been getting along much better than past years which takes away that stress which is awesome. We have a good plan for the float so now I just have to get our trailer here from Loyal. It's sounding like Adam's parents will help us transport it since they are the only people I know that have a truck. I have to call the guy who owns it to see when we can get it.
I can't believe we are so close now to trivia! IT'S CRAZY

Medford Contest results

Medford Trivia was pretty fun this year we were quick with the internet and somehow even found some of the local Medford Questions online this year. Also us being smart and getting a copy of a certain Seventeen magazine gave us valuable trivia points. We took 2nd place and will be getting $100...now what trivial thing to spend it on...

Gorange Wall

Well, been practically living in the basement lately. Usually come here everyday when Adam gets off work which is good so I can keep up with my shows. We slept here last night because Lily fell asleep at like 8:30 and we didn't want to wake her up by bringing her into the Wisconsin cold air.
We painted the annual trivia wall last night and it's a um lovely orange color called "Burning Orange" We used every drip of the paint this year because painting orange over dark green isn't very easy.

Weekend Wrapup: Trivia Madness

This weekend was a good one. Friday we went to the party for Oz and he announced the trivia movie, "Tennis, Anyone" It was also Vanessa's birthday so the boys got her a bunch of shots and she Loved Everyone :)
Saturday & Sunday we (Adam, Lily, Gwyn, Shaun, Aaron, Vanessa & I) went to the HQ to work on trivia stuff. We were going to build a Trophy case/shelf but that ended up being super easy because Shaun found a shelving unit at his parents that fit perfectly in the bibliotech. Adam and I ended up moving our computers there already because we wanted to work on the books all weekend. Sunday night Mom and Dad made yummy tacos for everyone and for desert we finally went to Belt's (which just opened on Friday)
LILY STARTED WALKING this weekend. Saturday night she started walking to people without holding on to anything. Sunday she was even better going longer distances and not having to dive into people when she was at them. She's getting faster and faster and I'm sure she'll be cruisin around more and more each day. She's also getting really used to the basement and has fun discovering lots of things to play with (markers, batteries, and her bucket of toys of course) I'm hoping that during the upcoming trivia she'll be able to play around and not be TOO needed of her mommy.

De-Stressing

So, I finished the Trivia Ad today and I feel like a weight has been pulled off me. I love it. IT'S FINISHED. Now, I'm looking forward to a fun trivia-ish weekend with the party tomorrow and then random basement work during the weekend.
*Jumps for Joy*

Why the Stressing?

I don't know what is with this year and trivia stress. There is really no reason for it. The t-shirt situation is finally fixed (I think) so that's done with...but now we are still working on our ad for the New Trivia Times. Shaun sent me his version of it and I had a couple things I wanted fixed. Mostly it was really blurry and choppy-looking. He disagreed with me but I know it was blurry because I cleaned both my screen and my glasses ;) After many messages back and forth I think that he just got more and more mad at me. So, I tried to play with it myself and I made a version that isn't as blurry but I want to see what the others think. It's mostly so stressful because it's due Thursday or Friday of this week (had to email Mrs. OZ for clarification) Well, it's 3 in the morning so today or tomorrow.
It just seems like recently whenever I want something changed people just get pissed and don't want to help me. I wish things would be easy so I can stop getting stress headaches and end up totally on edge.

Movie Night

Gwyn and I had one of our new Tuesday Night meetings. She came over and then we had to pick up Adam from work (cuz I stole the car on lunch break) and then we got food at Green Tea. Then, after eating, Gwyn & I had to go and take pictures of my Dad for the trivia ad that we are working on. Finally, we got to come home and watch movies. Since "Yours, Mine & Ours" came out today we watched both the 1968 and 2005 versions. Both pretty terrible but the old one was worse. I guess I'm just not built to watch really old movies. I caught myself checking to see how much time was left in the movie at least 5 times. After both movies were over Gwyn went home and I went right to bed.
