Eric's Birthday

First, I met the guys (Eric, Ian, Mark, Aaron) at The Elbow Room where Oz is now bartending at.  I had an Alabama Slammer which is now my favorite drink.  Of course it all depends on where you get them.  We went to Partners next because if it's your birthday you drink free.  At Partners the Alabama Slammers taste completely different (more like a pixy stik if you ask me)  George me us out at Partners and a bunch of Ian's friends too.  It was karaoke night there...wow some people are really terrible.  We also ran into Cool Joe which was fun since we only usually see him at TRIVIA events or County Market.  We hung out there all night and I got home at 2am.  It was a fun night (besides the drama of course) and nice to be out of the house for a change.

The Adventure that is the basement

Lily and I went down to the basement for a while today. I had to do some laundry and make sure I knew the location of our Christmas decorations so whenever we want to be festive we can. Lily loves playing in the basement...taking cat food and sprinkling it everywhere, running around chasing the cats, and finding all sorts of treasures.
Here is Lily after she found a scarf and garland.

Black Friday Fun

Friday Morning my parents picked me up at 3:30am and we were off to Wal*Mart. The store was open because it's open 24/7 but the big deals that didn't start until 5am where all shrink wrapped until it was time. We got a bunch of other shopping done because Wal*Mart had changed some of their prices on things because other stores were going to have them cheap. Once 5am hit we all got what we wanted and met back at the checkouts. We were in line pretty fast but it took a while because the cashier didn't really know what she was doing because she is not normally a cashier (and my sister was using other adds to comp stuff there) Next, we went to Kohl's. My dad got in line right away when we got there because the line was ridiculously long. By the time we were done picking out stuff we were only 2 people away from the front of the line which was super nice. After that we went to Shopko mainly for the $16 DVD players but they were all out so we left pretty quickly. Then, we had to drop off my mom at work and pick up Lily (who was being a monster for Adam and he had to go to work at 8am) Menards was our next stop and the lines there were INSANE. Dad knew a secret line that formed in the middle of the store so he was in line pretty much right away and Becky and I ran around getting the things on the list. They also had the $16 DVD player and actually had some left so we were happy. Lastly we went to the Plover Shopko because we wanted to see if they had any of the "Goodnight Moon" DVDs left (for only $4.99) because the other Shopko was out of those too. A really nice Shopko employee helped us find 2 of the DVDs (because Becky and I both wanted one) so that's all we bought there. Finally it was time to go back to my parents house to organize all the purchases. Becky and I labeled all the gifts so we could remember who they all went to while Dad and Lily made scrambled eggs for breakfast.
Becky left after that and Lily and I just hung out at my parents house all day. I was super happy when Lily decided to take a nap at 3ish so I could nap too. What a long day Friday was.

Turkey Days

It was back to Stratford on Wednesday night for the Turkey festivities. We watched "The Benchwarmers", "Accepted", and "Click" We also took a little dip in the hot tub which is always nice when it's cold out.
Here's a picture of Lily chasing the dog Otis and one of her demonstrating "upside down"

Thursday we got up and watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade. It's not my favorite parade but there were parts that Lily thought were pretty neat (mostly the Sesame Street float and Big Bird Balloon) We ate our first Thanksgiving dinner at about 1pm and then drove back to my parents house for the second one which we had at like 6pm.
Lily had lots of fun playing with Braeden all night long. Braeden also had fun eating turkey during dinner lol and trying to walk around the house.
We then went through all the Black Friday Ads and made a list of what we wanted to buy and where we had to go. I had to go to bed early because morning will come too soon.

Eww Stinky Feetsies

Joe's / Casino Royalle

Tonight Adam got to have a night out for a change. Adam's Mom & sister came to pick up Lily at about 6:30pm and took her to Stratford. When we said goodbye Lily kinda gave us a 'aren't you coming too?' look. Then, Adam & I joined Aaron at Joe's Bar. Aaron played poker with some trivia folk and we just hang out. Kim & Danielle from Adam's work met us there too but Kim didn't stay out very long because her boyfriend wasn't feeling well. Then, Adam, Danielle and I went to Erberts and Gerberts for dinner, which is right across the street. When we got back George was at the bar too. We stayed there until about 9:15 and then went to see Casino Royalle (the new Bond film) which was pretty good. Then we drove to Stratford and got there at 1am. They said that Lily was really good. She was sleeping when we got there (see pict) but woke up when she heard my voice. She cried for a while making me think she was saying 'why did you leave me?'

Children's museum field trip

Today for playgroup we got to go to the Children's museum for free! It was lots of fun and Lily sure had a blast! Here are some pictures I took. 1) They had a room that was slanted so you felt like you get taller the more you go in, Lily and her friend ran in their alot. 2) Lily loved playing in this tunnel which was like a big hollowed out log. Inside they had velco pictures of bugs you can take off and reattatch. 3) Lily loved playing in this house that a bunch of kids and adults built. 4) Jonathan and Lily looking outside into the mall.

Dog Sitting in the Strat

We are currently in Stratford watching Adam's family dog. His parents and sister all went to Madison for the Stratford State High School Football game. Lily kept occupied by playing with Elmo on Sesame Street's Website. Tonight I was supposed to volunteer watching kids at the FRC but it was cancelled. That's okay though because now we can go to the Stevens Point Christmas Parade tonight (Yeah, a little too early I think but whatever) We will be leaving here in a little bit when the game is over (it's being broadcast on FSN North)

Weekend of shopping

This weekend we went shopping alot! Saturday Lily and I went to Wausau with my parents. We met up with Becky there too! We went to Gordmans, Wal*Mart, Sam's Club and then had dinner at Fazolis. I haven't been to fazolis in years and it was pretty good.
Sunday Adam, Lily and I went to Rapids with my parents. We stopped at Gram's grave because Mom and Dad got these pewter angels to put there. Then, we went to Wal*Mart for some more shopping. For lunch we ate at Taco Johns (the main reason Adam went with us for a change) and I had four yummy tacos and potato oles. This time I couldn't get near my record 7 tacos last time because they were a little more spicy that day.

Lily loves the snow

So, it's snowing outside today and we are supposed to get somewhere around 6 inches of snow today! I took Lily outside to show her the snow (even though she keeps telling me it's raining) She loved running around in the snow and making little footprints in it. Her shoes have a design so the prints she leaves on the ground are ABCs and 123s. She also liked picking up the snow and telling me how COLD it was!

Rubber Cement and how kids are Gross

Well, when we were over at my friends house on Sunday, we were working with Rubber Cement. Lily got ahold of the brush and as Vanessa was trying to take it from her it got caught up in her hair. Rubber cement and hair don't mix. We tried several things to get it out and I was starting to fear that we would have to cut it out! Luckily, my dad was able to comb it out of her hair saying it was like trying to get knots out of the puppies hair.
Why are kids gross? I just saw Lily dipping pepperoni pizza into a glass of milk and eating it. She kept saying MMM!
eww.

Triviatown in Stevens Point!

It was nice to see "Triviatown" shown right here in Stevens Point. I have now seen it 4 times and would love to see it many more if I could afford traveling all over to all the festivals. Oh, and the trailer for "Triviatown" is now on Youtube so check it out so we can get it lots of hits and hopefully somebody with lots of money will want to buy it so we can eventually get it into normal theatres and a DVD!
Saturday night after the movie I actually got to go downtown with my friends. We went to Joe's Bar (of course) and met up with alot of fellow trivia players and also Patrick Cady & Brit McAdams (the directors) We stayed out until bar time and then went to Erberts & Gerberts for a snack. It was fun hanging out for a change and getting to see the trivia gang. My friends do this weekly but Adam usually goes out since he has to go out when he plays on his dart league anyways.
Sunday we saw the movie again, this time armed with notebooks. Oz said he is going to ask 2 questions from the movie in the next contest so alot of people had notebooks. Yesterday I think my dad was the only one taking notes. Patrick and Brit where also presented with certifications saying that "Triviatown" is now the official movie of Stevens Point which is pretty cool!
We continued the trivia excitement tonight by first hanging out at my parents house for a while and hanging out in the basement. Then, we all went to the Billy Laners house and worked on a big trivia-related project. It was fun to be both out of the house all day and also doing trivia stuff!

What is with kids in boxes?

Lily really likes to sit in play in both small boxes & buckets. Sometimes she even does coloring while in a box. She's silly.
