Fall fun with Braeden

Becky, Mark, Nick and Braeden came to my parents house today mostly because Mark was helping my dad install his new garage door. While they were doing that we were having fun with the kids. Lily and Braeden wanted to be outside most of the time of course and they found a big pile of sticks and were very entertained by that. They had lots of fun together.

KASH Park

Adam took Lily to the fish park by our house and when they were done he told her we'd take her to KASH park the next day (and even drove there to remind her which park it was. So, right when she woke up she knew it was time to go to the park. She was so excited when we got there because there were kids all over the place. She slide down all the slides multiple times (which made her hair comically staticy) In the sandbox she also buried my feet in the sand and I buried hers too. She ran around all over the place for about an hour. Then, we decided to go for a swim at the Y (which was probably the only reason she was willing to leave)

Stratford Day of Fun

After Art-in-the-Park we packed up and drove to Stratford for the weekend. We played with Cooper for a while and then decided to go out. First we went to this little Amish store in Stratford and got lots of bags of candy, marshmallows, hot cocoa and more. Then, we went to Paulson's Pumpkin Patch in Mosinee where Lily got to see some goats, bunnies, horses and ponies. She also picked out a big pumpkin out of the patch and had fun riding in a wagon. After that we went to Briq's soft serve for some ice cream. Adam ordered a banana split not reading that it contained over 1 pound of vanilla ice cream. He only ate about 1/2 of it before being extremely full. The rest of the day we spent hanging out at the house and playing with crazy Cooper. We also had a yummy pork chop dinner with some really fresh corn on the cob that we got earlier in the morning at the farmers market.

Art In The Park

I was very excited to take Lily to Art-in-the-Park this year. We usually miss it because it usually falls the same weekend as Wo-Zha-Wa. Lily had a blast painting the inside and outside of a cardboard log cabin. She is very serious and careful painting unlike some of the older kids (who kept splattering me with paint) She painted her signature smiley face and then she played with play-doh for a while and got some cotton candy. Next we did this cool thing called the "community canvas" where you can paint a tile anyway you want and then they put them all together and will display them at Art Village and also next year at Art in the park. The whole festival was a lot bigger than I remember when I was a kid and I remember there being a lot more free kiddie activities. There were a lot of booths but most of them were selling art like at a craft fair. Lily got a balloon from All-State and then we went home.

Rockband Fun

Tonight Danielle and Fetus came over to play some rockband. I sang, Fetus played bass and Danielle and Adam switched off playing guitar and drums. It was a lot of fun and we Rocked out til midnight.

Circus Day at Playgroup

Today Lily and I went to a special Circus themed playgroup. They had it in the parking lot in back of the building. There were tents, forts, rocking horses, hula hoops, bubbles, balls, a lion popcorn game, and much more. Lily invented the "tightrope walking on blocks" game when we went to Wednesdays playgroup. They also had a special treat of ice cream sundaes which the kids were very excited about. It was really nice and sunny out and I actually got sunburned!

Lily in pigtails

I just discovered that putting Lily's long hair in pigtails is really the best way to go. Her bangs are just short of being good ponytail length so they always fall out and annoy her. Pigtails look cute and she can see all day

Wo-Zha-Wa 2008

It's that time of the year again for our annual trip to Wisconsin Dells for the Wo-Zha-Wa festival. This year Mom & Dad and Adam, Lily and I were the only ones to go on Saturday. It was raining when we first got to the dells so we went to Wal*Mart and then the Outlet mall. Then, we checked into the hotel and Adam stayed there to take a nap while the rest of us went downtown shopping for a while. After that we went to eat at Moosejaw and had yummy taco pizza. Then, Adam, Lily and I went swimming while Mom & Dad went to do more shopping and to stake out our parade spot for the next day. We were all very tired so we went to bed early.
Sunday morning we woke up and got ready. Steve & Family met us at the hotel and then we were off to the craft fair. Adam and I were disappointed that the ladies who had the BEST Apple pie ever weren't there this year so we had to settle for a caramel apple. We walked around for a while while Dad took all the kids to the playground. Then it was time for the parade. It was cold out for the parade but I was comfortable in my DC hoodie and jeans. I'd rather have it be cold than hot and sunny. After the parade we came back to point. Becky came to town because she is going to borrow my animal cage for her new puppy. Lily was happy because she got to play with Johnny and Braeden in one day!

Adam & Patty's 4 Year Wedding Anniversary

So, it's been 4 years since Adam and I tied the knot (the first time and so that's the date we celebrate)! That also means that we've been together for 7 1/2 years! I can't believe it's been so long. While I was looking for a photo of Adam and I from our wedding I couldn't find my disk so for a moment I thought I lost all the photos. Luckily, I found two disks of pictures and was able to mesh them together so I now have one nice disk. Also, I started editing the videos from both the Wedding and Wedding Renewals and putting the videos up online. You can check them out at my new wedding webpage Our Weddings

Lily's First Day of Preschool

Today was Lily's first day of Preschool. The Preschool class she goes to at the Y is from 9:15-11:30am every Tuesday and Thursday. I woke her up at 8:30am, got her dressed, and brushed & braided her hair. I gave her a present of a new Kung Fu Panda backpack which she was very excited about. Then, we went outside and took a few photos of her and were off to school. When we got to the YMCA we found her locker and put her stuff away. Then, I put on her nametag, signed her in, and said goodbye. She had no problem with me leaving which was really good. When I picked her up she gave me a painting that she did and she told me all about her day which including painting, playing in the purple sand table, singing songs and playing outside. She can't wait to go back! I'm a proud Mommy.

Pacelli Panacea

Today we went to Pacelli Panacea with my parents. Adam didn't go because he wasn't feeling well. As we were driving there it started raining so once we got there we decided to check out the stuff inside first. They had the kiddie games inside this year so Lily played those first. When she was playing skee-ball, the kids that were running it where helping her out a bit by directing her balls into the bonus cup. She ended up getting 50 tickets total (and I know at least 40 tickets came from Skee-ball) so she traded them in for an adorable teddy bear. At that point it was pretty much done raining so we decided to go on some rides. Lily and I first went on the train. Then she went on the cars ride by herself. Next we went on the tilt-o-whirl (which went super fast) and the bumper cars (Lily loves bumping into other people) Then, she played Pick-a-duck and won an inflatable crayon and I did the poster darts game and hit all 3 posters that Lily wanted (Kung Fu Panda, Dora and Backyardigans) It was a fun time.
