Jetta's Wedding
We woke up today at about 10:30. Adam had to go to the uhaul place with my dad to pick up his car. Dad had to pick up the uhaul at 8am this morning and realized he didn't have anyone to drive his car. Then, I had to go to our house to pick up some things like Lily's adorable lavender dress. We all got ready and we're off the the church. It was super hot today but luckily the church was air conditioned. The wedding was pretty short (like 20 min) and Lily was really good. She just sat and watched and the only time she really made noise was when they went to light the unity candle, she kept saying "Hot" Yep, candles are hot.
Lily fell asleep between the ceremony & reception so she and Mom stayed in the car while Dad changed his clothes (he was wearing a suit and it was WAY too hot for that) and Adam and I made some white-trash grilled cheese. So, Lily got to nap for a whole 1/2 hour and we were at Elizabeth Inn. Some drinks were free from 4:30-5:30 so Adam had like 7 whiskey sours in that time. So, by dinner he was buzzin'. Then, he had to switch to Point Beer because that was free all night.
Dinner was really good. I'm convinced they put an addictive chemical in the chicken because I ate like 7 pieces...well, that and I really didn't eat anything else besides 1/2 a sandwich. After a little while the dance started and that was okay but they played quite a bit of mexican polka sounding music. Every once in a while they'd slip in a popular song but most of the songs sounded like the Chicken Dance. Lily was crazy. All she wanted to do was run all around the hall, into the bar, down the hall and back again. We each took turns chasing her. I took a bunch of pictures but it was strange trying to get used to my Dad's camera. I had to keep trying out different settings to see which was the best and then sometimes you'd try to take a picture and it would flash 5 times and sometimes I'd set it to just one time but then 1/2 of that time it would take it right away and the other 1/2 it would wait like 5 seconds. Weird. I need a new camera. We left at about 10 and Lily feel asleep on the way home.
