Today I had my 30th birthday party. I spent 3 days decorating for it. I covered all the walls with different color tablecloths and all the tables with balloon tablecloths. Then, I had a blacklight room that I covered in white fabric. Of course, once I had all the fabric pinned up I realized it didn't glow...but I fixed that by painting on the fabric with laundry detergent which glows really well. Note: Tonic water and starch also each glow but not as brightly. I also decorated my bar room with aluminum foil and Christmas lights. The party itself was a bunch of fun. We played Apples to Apples, SceneIt Squabble, SceneIt Music, Cup Races, and a bunch of Rock Band. Rock Band really gets more interesting the more you drink. I made 125 Jello shots in all different colors for the party and we got through about 100 of them. I also had an ice cream cake from Dairy Queen with silly monsters on it. My friends all sang an "interesting" rendition of "Happy Birthday To You" also. Lily kept herself busy watching movies and coloring. She also decided it would be oodles of fun to play with a bucket of money so there were coins all over the place and she took a "money bath"

Today was Remy's 2nd birthday party. It was at George & Tiffany's place which is only about two blocks away from our house. There was a sandbox and a kiddie pool so Remy, Lily and all the other kids had fun with those. Remy also got some cool presents including chalk and a tee ball set so they liked that too. Later there was a watergun fight between Lily & Remy. George, Aaron, Adam and I also got in on the watergun fight. I squirted Adam pretty good and then he threw a cup of water at me. Good times! So, we got Rock Band. Adam has been wanting it for a long time. He traded in a bunch of his other games, old controllers, and a couple blu ray movies for it so we got it basically free. At first I didn't think I'd like it but I'm now addicted to it. I like singing more than playing guitar or drums. Drums are my second favorite but I have problems with doing the foot pedal at the same time as drumming. It's really alot of fun and we keep playing so we can unlock more tunes (plus you can buy more online for the game which is sweet) The game is also cool because it gives people an excuse to come over for some fun. One night George & Remy came over to play (well, Lily and Remy were a little more interested in playing with Lily's toys) and then the next night Shaun, Sara and Isaac came to play. Lily is also very interested in the game so we let her sing and play drums sometimes.

Every year Chad has a party at his house because where they live has an excellent view of the fireworks. We got there at like 7pm and had some food. There were alot of children there so Lily was happy. When it got darker they all played with glowsticks and ran around. Once the fireworks started Lily wanted to go home because they were too loud. She sat on my lap with her hands over her ears and actually fell asleep! She slept through the really loud fireworks. I couldn't believe it. After we got in town from Minocqua we went right right to Piffner park for Riverfront Rendezvous. Oz was doing the "Saturday Morning Freakshow" live from there and a bunch of us were hanging out with him. We had food, drank Mimosas and blew bubbles. Lily liked the playground, having snowcones, and feeding donuts to ducks. It was a fun time. MORE: More picts HERE

This years vacation was a lot of fun. We spent most of our time on the beach playing in the sand and water. Lily loved that of course. Every morning when she'd wake up she would sit up and say "it's daytime let's go to the beach!" She also liked going for boat rides along the water. Adam and his cousin Danny also went Kayaking around the water one of the days. We also had fun trying different places to eat in Minocqua. Salsa Jr's definitely beats the Northwood's Taco Shack if you are looking for some good Mexican food. We also brought Lily's soccer ball along with us so Adam and Lily played a little soccer which was cute. Danny bought Risk one rainy day and they probably played it at least 7 times during vacation. Lily also had a blast with Frankie & Kelsey both on the beach, on the playground and shopping at Toyland. It was a relaxing vacation but I was glad to be home.
